Germany unemployment rose

The number of unemployed in Germany unexpectedly rose in December as a rebound in the eastern part of the country more than offset the ongoing decline in the west the Federal Labour Office reported on Tuesday. Still the surprise uptick was not enough to affect the jobless rate which remained unchanged at 7.5% as expected.
